This book provided an overview of the importance of blogging for SEO purposes, but offered no real detail in the methods to get it done. The author spent to much time promoting his web site and creating bloat in an already small book. It could have offered much more detail on subjects such as social media sites and keyword research tools.

A good read for anybody interested in increasing their website efficiency, from the casual blogger to the e-commerce professional. It’s an inexpensive investment in your website and teaches the foundation for a solid, search-engine compatible and user-friendly setup.
Your website is only as good as what you put into it, I like to say. I run more than a handful of different types of blogs and sites, and I found “Marketing is a Contact Sport” to provide the best coverage for how to intelligently and pro-actively structure for success.

This book covers it all, on marketing to Internet marketing 2.0, from basics to expert level, this is the book on Internet Marketing, Blogs and SEO, Search Engine Optimization, Search and social Marketing. It is easy to read, but covers all the concepts of Web 2.0. It actually helps you understand how to blog and why blogs are important to search engine marketing. It covers SEO in detail, the Google algorithms intent, it may sound technical, but concepts flow from chapters to chapters.

I was looking for a book that would give me step-by-step instructions. I really don’t have time to figure out internet advertising on my own. This book fits the bill exactly. It’s very well written. The direction is concise. I did a quick read through in about 45 minutes and got a lot of confidence that I can implement the advice without spending a ton of my time.
